1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Dronelog API service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including developers, companies, and any other parties who access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Dronelog API provides a REST API that allows users to upload drone flight logs, process them into structured data, and retrieve flight telemetry, battery analytics, component wear metrics, and other flight-related information. The Service includes:

  • Flight log upload and asynchronous processing
  • Structured flight data retrieval in JSON and CSV formats
  • API key management and usage tracking
  • Secure storage of uploaded flight logs on cloud infrastructure

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and obtain an API key. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your API keys
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must not share your API keys with unauthorized parties. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload content that you do not have the right to process
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service to transmit malware or malicious code
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without written consent
  • Exceed your plan's rate limits through intentional circumvention

5. API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the API is subject to the rate limits and call quotas associated with your subscription plan. We reserve the right to throttle or temporarily suspend access to the API if usage significantly exceeds your plan's limits or threatens the stability of the Service.

We may update rate limits, features, or plan structures at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days in advance via email or through your account dashboard.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly recurring basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle. You agree that:

  • All fees are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise stated
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes (including VAT)
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.

7. Data Ownership and Privacy

You retain full ownership of all flight logs and data you upload to the Service. By uploading data, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and serve that data back to you through the API as necessary to provide the Service.

We will not sell, share, or disclose your data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. For details on how we handle personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

You may delete your data at any time through the API. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days before being purged.

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide high availability, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily affects availability, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.

Enterprise plans may include custom SLA agreements with specific uptime guarantees. These are governed by separate agreements.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its technology, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Dronelog API. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dronelog API and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dronelog API, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including but not limited to data ownership, limitation of liability, and indemnification provisions.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark.
